Notifications is the one place that lists what needs you — a run waiting on your approval, a run that failed, and anything else the platform decides is worth a person’s attention. It is not a general activity log; if nothing needs you, the page says so.

Reading the inbox

Unread notifications carry a dot. Opening one takes you straight to the thing it is about and marks it read. Mark all as read clears the whole list without opening anything, and is disabled once there is nothing unread.

The bell

The rail shows how many notifications are unread. New ones appear the moment the server creates them, with no need to reload the page.

Email

Some notifications also arrive by email. Every notification email includes an unsubscribe link that turns off just that category — it does not affect what shows up in the in-app inbox.

Push

Push notifications reach you even with the tab closed, as a banner from your browser or phone. Push is off until you turn it on in your notification settings, one category at a time, alongside (or instead of) email.

On iOS, push only works once Hutly is installed to your home screen from Safari’s Share menu — a regular Safari tab cannot receive push there. That is a limitation of the platform, not something Hutly can turn on from its side.
